TYPE J Socket Series (Swiss Standard Socket)
The TYPE J socket series is the standard for electrical sockets and plugs used exclusively in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. It complies with the SEV 1011 standard, which is the national socket specification established by the Swiss Association for Electrical Engineering (Schweizerischer Elektrotechnischer Verein, SEV).
Although its appearance is similar to the Europlug (Type C) and the Italian Type L, the TYPE J socket features a unique grounding pin design and socket configuration, making it incompatible with other types for high-power equipment.
